The rules of the game
Created in 2020, Safersex is a collaborative board game with which funnily learn healthy sexual behaviours.
This game was made by Leticia Miranda Rojas in the frame of the Erasmus+ volunteering project “Empowerment through Volunteering Activities” coordinated by Associazione InformaGiovani (Palermo) and supported by Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

About the game
According to the WHO, sexuality is a key element in human beings. Sexual health is about well-being, but not necessarily the absence of diseases: it also involves respect, safety and freedom from any kind of discrimination and violence. Furthermore, it can be expressed through different sexualities and sexual expression and it is important at any age, from young to elder people.
This game is an approach to a responsible and safe human sexuality that looks forward to improve the sexual and reproductive health and well-being of the society.
To young people who prepare themselves for a healthier sexual life, this game is a strong tool to build a solid-base through learning healthy sexual behaviours which will decrease the risk of transmission of sexual infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancies.

Creating this game has been a process of learning and self-discovery that started in March 2020. Thinking that it could benefit many people motivated me to walk into an unexplored field for me, and the issues found on the way were crucial moments to learn and improve it.
